Dental bridges literally close the gap caused by missing teeth. They help to maintain the proper shape of your face that might be caused by the missing teeth. They also keep the remaining teeth in their proper location.

A bridge consists of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the missing tooth that will be used to anchor the replacement tooth, which is made of porcelain. Some bridges consist of just one crown in a situation where the missing tooth does not have two flanking teeth.

Your first visit will be a time to prepare the teeth to which the bridge will be attached. We will make impressions of your teeth so that your bridge will look natural in your own mouth. You will be provided with a temporary bridge while your custom bridge is being created. At your follow-up visit, we will fit and adjust your permanent bridge and make certain that the fit is comfortable. We will ensure that your custom-fitted bridge works beautifully, and that it has restored the function lost by the missing teeth.

Sometimes a bridge can be used to replace a removable partial denture. Visit us to determine if a bridge is the best option for you.
